Well Merry Christmas everyone!!! Hope you all had great days full of Christmas cheer!

So it was fun to be able to go to church on Christmas day, how often does that happen? Sister Pen called me Friday and said that she had a referral for us and she is all the way in Lacey.... well her name is Gwen Lee and she came to church with us Yesterday and loved it and wants to get baptized....... well the sad thing is that she is 19 which means that she is YSA..... Oh well its fine she is going to be baptized and I will be there - it's just when....

Also I have been able to have a great few transfers with Sister Codling but sad to say we will be saying our goodbyes Tuesday and surprisingly I'll be staying, getting Sister Stevens and Sister Codling will be going to American Lake to work with Sister Christiansen! Also Sister Adams went back to Olympia to wait for her real call and it was sad to say our goodbyes! But she is a wonderful missionary and so will be doing some great things!!!!

Our fun Christmas eve with 3 zones Tac south, Tac north and Lakewood!
Me trying to juggle a soccer ball with a group.... I did alright... but hey I realized I'm better than I thought!
Me, also in the back ground with soccer!
Well us as the whole family for a picture!!!!! it was great to talk with them. Something I have come to realize is how truly precious quality family time is!!!!! I went over to a members home last night and her kid and grand children were over... we were watching a Christmas Motab concert and every single person at one time was on a devise and the grand kids were on them the whole time..... I thought about the times when we looked similar and thought we can't get that time back. Family is the most important unit ever!!! And when you get older you also realize how important it is especially when you're gone. I miss all of our fun game nights together and the fun Laughs and fun! But I also know that its alright and I can wait because I will be with my family for forever!!! Oh that reminds me also that I sometimes use that as a door approach " Hey we are sharing a message about how your Family can be Together Forever" and a lot of times they say we're good, or not interested, or that's what we are already doing... then shut the door and it makes me sad they don't want it to because it has brought me so much Joy and I'm also so thankful for Jesus Christ restoring his church to the earth so that his power and authority can be to seal on earth and in heaven for forever!!!!!

Well Love you all and hope you have a great last week of the year!!!!

Merry Christmas in 6 days!!!!!!!!!

So I read this cool article from the December Ensign, so this month called "Preparing a place for the Lord" And I loved how it talks about when Christ was born there wasn't room for him in the inn so   was born in a manger and then it said:

"Even during His adult life, Jesus indicated that He did not have a regular home. One day a man approached Him and said, “Lord, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.” The Savior answered, “Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head” (Luke 9:57, 58)."

But today we have Glorious Temples which are the houses of the Lord and sure Christ came in a manger and its cool to talk about it but just think Christ is going to come again and so how much more important is it for us to be prepared for when he comes again by being able to go to the Temple and be with him. Also it talks about how multiple times through the Bible saints let him into their homes for him to stay, so are we today, right now, ready to let the Savior into our home? Would you feel comfortable to let him in? This is how we should live our lives to be able to prepare for our Savior to come again! Then it talks about helping those that don't know the truth to prepare and then also helping those who don't have a home themselves and being the type to help anyone no matter what! (and also listening to the Spirit because there are some wacky people out there haha which reminds me so we stopped our car to go and talk to these teenagers on the street and later realized that they were in the middle of a drug deal but we gave them a Book of Mormon and they said they would read it and so after I said " Drop the weed and Read" and you know what that really applies to everything about what's not super important for whats more important.  Reading the scriptures is one of the best things you can do with your time!

So Merry Christmas and remember what's most important and always strive to continually progress towards eternal life and not the other way! Love you all!!!!!

HELLO EVERYONE!!!!!!

Well it's crazy to think that the year of 2016 is coming to a close in a couple of weeks..... time really does go by so fast that we have to use our time very wisely!!!!!

Well so we were able to have our zone conferences this week and it was great! It puts me on a spiritual high but also drains me too! One of the training's was about the faith to find and that along with having the faith to find we also need to just expect to have miracles happen and after that there have been quite a few miracles happen! We had this great lesson with Jamie and talked about how her prayers have been answered in the past and how that will happen as she reads and prays about the Book of Mormon and in her prayer she said " if the Book of Mormon is true... Let me know as soon as possible!" and sadly we won't see her till after the new year but we keep praying that she can resist Satan and get the right answer that is is true!!!!! I've been thinking of our good old basher friend Zeli that needs evidence to every little thing... (and by the way we referred him to YSA and he apparently brought a friend to church too....) And if you even think of how Joseph Smith could have written it or done anything besides having Divine help from God... it would not have been possible! Also I know by reading the Book of Mormon how true it is and love it so much! Thanks for everything!!!!

Its Beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!!!!

Everywhere you go...... I love being able to be in this Christmas season and help others feel the spirit of Christmas as we help out whether it's by our Caroling or having people check out the #lighttheworld on mormon.org, or trying to serve everyone to all of the Christmas lights out on homes where we knock!

Well this was a great week! We fasted last Saturday to get people to church and solid investigators at church and then yesterday and we saw miracles!!! So first we stopped by at London's home again not sure if I talked about her but she is 14 and we weren't sure if she was a boy or a girl but she's a girl... and we put her and her 11 year old sister on date for December 17th too and we gave London a church tour and she loved it... she has been looking for a church but all have felt wrong to her and whenever we come and she can feel the spirit  she can too and knows that it is a lot different and she loves it! Also watched the resto video that's 20 min and she loved it and I told her its cool that Joseph Smith was 14 when he was searching and prayed and she is too... and then London came to church and loves it and with be going to YWs Wed. night but sadly her sister didn't come to church so fell off dats.

We also knocked into this Basher who invited us in and kept asking us questions that I honestly didn't know how to respond to and with whatever I said he would say a scripture from the bible that was wrong.... but he wanted to come to church and so we were so nervous for what he would do especially with it fast and testimony meeting..... and then he came too and was respectful and is planning on coming next week and signed up to feed us which we are worried about but hey I believe he will get baptized he just likes to know all the facts and doesn't believe we can feel the truth... But also what is cool is that Elder Hailstorm of the Presidency of the Seventy came to our Sacrament and talked at the end of it and I think is was exactly what Xeilias ( I know weird name but he goes by zee-li like eli with a z...) needed to hear! He also came with us to the Nativity where a lot of nativities were all over including a live one and likes it and has started to read the BofM.

I am so thankful to be here for this Christmas season!!! Love ya all!

HAPPY LATE THANKSGIVING AND ITS BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS!!!!

Well Thanksgiving was great but I'll admit I still liked it better in the MTC! But Ya our day started pretty normal with Studies and it was cool I read two conference talks that went along great with Thanksgiving the first from President Eyring called Gratitude on the Sabbath and to remember to be Thankful every time we partake of the Sacrament and for having the gift of the Holy Ghost anyways it was super great! then I also read the President Nelson Talk called Joy and Spiritual Survival. He says the word JOY so many times that I circled it every time I saw it and it filled the page... I should have counted how many times but that just gives you the excuse to read it and to count how many times and let me know!!!

Then we went to this single women's home and she made us yummy Thai Peanut chicken strips in this yummy peanut butter type sauce I thought it tasted soooo good but Sister Codling doesn't like nuts so thought it was gross but she was missing out :)! Then went to another family and had snacks and Got to set up their pretty Thanksgiving table!!!! So that was fun! Then at another families we were able to have the typical Thanksgiving Dinner which was good and also got a lot of leftovers! Then we felt very special to be invited to the Blatter's home that evening to have pie and also to help set up the Christmas tree!!! It was great to be able to see one of my trainers this week- Sister Krebs.

Also Surprise! Tonight we will be getting a third sister joining us for three weeks named Sister Adams! She is from Olympia so I know her and will be doing a mini mission which is serving and a full time Missionary for 3 weeks. It should be fun!!! Oh also I went on exchanges with Sister Bolos who was my MTC companion and that was great! We work so well together- it was great!

Thanks for everything everyone does for me! I truly am so blessed to have everyone in my life that is apart of it. I am especially thankful to have the Savior on my side because without him I really am nothing... Love ya all thanks!

Others pictures from this week.

From Camille's mom - I  got a surprise phone call from Heather Telford who is currently in Camille's ward.  She called to ask if I could send her a recipe that would remind Camille of home.  I sent both a stroganoff on baked potatoes and Mexican Supper recipe.  She said this is what her dad did and she also wants to follow suite by asking missionary parent's what their missionaries favorite meal is and then make it for them.  Camille was pretty excited to be fed a delicious meal last night.  The following was from Heather Telford.

Hi Sister Beck!

I just wanted you to know that your lovely daughter and Sister Codling just left to do their tracting for the evening. I made the Stroganoff and Potatoes and it was a big hit :) This plan to cook recipes from home helps me out bigtime by adding in some new things to our meal routine and gives my children a chance to try new things.

Thank you so much for getting back to me so quickly. We really love having the sister missionaries in our home. They bring such a sweet spirit and the evening was spent enjoying each other's company in stories and laughter.

Have a wonderful rest of your Sabbath! Here is a photo of my family along with your daughter and her companion.

Much love and gratitude,

Heather Telford

Hey Everyone!!!!! Hope you have a great Thanksgiving Week thinking of all we truly have to be grateful for!

So about a week ago we knocked into this man named Ruban who is 7th day Adventas (however that's spelled...) and he didn't really understand what he believed the Godhead to be and so I explained to the best of my knowledge that you probably believe in the Trinity and explained it to him about how we believe that they are 3 separate beings 1 in purpose. And he was like oh that makes so much sense! And then we had a lesson with him and taught him the Plan of Salvation only up to the Atonement and with Adam and Eve.  And more fully understanding the Atonement that it really got him thinking about all of this knowledge that makes so much sense to him but he has never heard it all growing up in his church.... It was cool how I could just picture him going to the Temple and getting Baptized and getting the priesthood during this lesson and how happy it would make him feel! We will hopefully put him on date this week and start talking to his wife as well. Oh it was also so cool to see him realize that the Atonement is so personal to him and he has recently had alot happen to him to humble him and he realized that this is why so that he could learn what the Gospel has to offer to him!

I truly am so Grateful for all of the Knowledge we do have for Where we came from? Why we are here? and Where we are going and it is a message centered on love and happiness and it points to the Savior!

Also not sure if everyone knows but December 1st is going to be a day of service and would love for everyone to join the world and the churches Effort to #lighttheworld!
