Happy Leap Day!!!

Okay L so the Fijian Word of the week (and last one probably) is Joy which is Marau so you say it like you do tomorrow but you take off the "to" so morrow and add one of those tongue rrr rolls to the middle r's or if you cant do that just do a d sound so modow. Okay well hope that made since!

So we got our Transfer call this week and I will be staying in Olympia and getting Sister Trost ( sounds like toast but with an r) which is now Sister Gunnell's companion and Sister Sokoiwasa will be going to Silverdale to be companions with Sister Gunnell. So it is like a long distance transfer but not! Sister Gunnell if you don't remember came out with me from the MTC so ya pretty awesome she will love her.

So nothing super exciting happened this week for me but I have been reflecting on the Atonement and how I can more fully take advantage of it. So I have been praying for help before I read the scriptures in the morning for a better understanding. So Saturday there was a stake women's conference and one of the classes was on patience. She O talked about how she has M.S. and has had it for like 26 years and it keeps getting worse to where she is now in a wheel chair. She mentioned that she doesn't feel like the Atonement is working for her and in a fast and Testimony meeting all of the talks were about the Atonement working for them. after sacrament she was just so mad at Jesus for helping all of these other people and not herself so she left and took the car and drove around. finally after a few hours she came home and her husband happens to be the bishop of the Olympia 3rd ward, where I am at, and it is not good if he is home when he has meetings...... anyways they talked about it and how she is just so angry and he said that when she wakes up she is so full of joy to go to work, even though she has M.S. she still has joy, she comes home and makes cookies for the kids and dinner for the kids with joy, etc... living the gospel to its fullest and that that is the Atonement working on her. and that also clicked for me as well. V

Even though a mission is tough my back and feet kill I get tension and sinus headaches, as I'm living the gospel and obeying all of the rules and trying my best and realize that I need Help and Ask for Help from God, that burden is lifted from me which is the Atonement to where I also feel joy and happiness when I work. I also read from the past General Conference from Elder Oaks on the Atonement that helped my understanding grow as well Alma Chapter 31 and now it clicked! now I understand for myself. But It didn't come when I first Prayed E for help I had to keep asking

Well I love you all!!!

Hey Everyone!!!!!

Okay the Fiji word this week is Light which is cina but you pronounce it like the Greek Goddess Athena, but with out the first A so Thena. (HAHA when I found out It was spelled with a c instead of a th I was shocked but ya!!!)

So crazy thing that happened this week we wound up with a flat tire late Friday night! So we called our District Leader and he came out to the rescue to put the doughnut on! ( When Sister Soko heard it called a doughnut she was just so confused but then we explained that it is what we call the spare tire.) Then the next day we went to the Les Swab tire place and they fixed it, well it was so bad that they had to replace the whole tire but pretty funny!

This week Soko and I worked on getting a goal of 50 other lessons which is a principle and a prayer. And we didn't really get any new investigators but we definitely were able to leave them with a better impression of the Church! We were able to get 65 other lessons and then 2 Lessons with a member present. So it was awesome! One lady that answered the door excitedly asked us if we were here to wish her a Happy Birthday and we said of course and then sang her Happy Birthday! She was awesome and when we said the prayer with her she was so thankful for us coming to see her:) We also met a Budi? So, if I'm pronouncing it correct, They pretty much believe in anyone who says they are sent from God. So from Buddha to Jesus Christ to Joseph Smith, etc. and we tried to say a prayer and he insisted that he says one so we let him. He read this prayer out of a book and it was super weird because I could not feel the spirit at all. That is the reason why we try to say the prayer, so they can feel the spirit and want us to come back! (but it still counted for an other lesson)

We also met this super awesome African American women with the voice and everything! Who was totally for learning more and asked if we believe in Jesus and in giving blessings and we said that we do and she was all for us and to learn more until we said Mormon! and she didn't want to take our card:) But she still wants us to come over and tell her more about what we believe and also tell us what she believes in about a week. She ended up saying the prayer and it was one of the Hallelujah type prayers which was fun! So I can't wait to go back and talk to her again.

I know without a doubt that this is God's Kingdom on the Earth and I feel so honored to be able to be Heavenly Father's Instrument and to work along side him in the field.

Lots of Love!!!

Well Happy Valentines Day Past :)

So since J my last email Steven decided he doesn't want to get baptized but that is fine, we are still on good terms and He liked the awesome Regional conference we had that happened yesterday. It was cool because it was filmed in Utah but people from Oregon to here to Alaska to British/Colombia..... Elder Renlend talked and talked about how we must tell others about the restoration before we can explain modern-day revelation like the Word of Wisdom. But interesting enough Steven says he isn't able to feel the spirit here like he was able to at his Catholic church in California... but we will still love and support him the best we can. I guess his sister told him to stay away form us but we have a apt. with him for this Friday to teach about the Plan of Salvation.

So Yesterday was just like my favorite day ever!!!!!( and not because it was Valentines Day!) Rose was BAPTIZED!!!!!!!!!!! It was beautiful and before when we were taking pics with her she told us how she has been so nervous all day:) Sister Krebs gave and awesome baptism talk O, and then it came time for her to go into the water. She is so tall that Sister Krebs and Sheer were freaking out a little that the water might not be high enough but Bishop Tolman said it and she went under fine and game up and her face was just priceless!!!!! she started to cry and was just so full of joy that the whole room could feel. Then Sister Soko and I gave the restoration while she was getting dressed. the spirit was just so strong and while Sister Soko was reciting the "I saw a pillar of light......." half way through she got so emotional that she had me finish it with tears in my eyes as well. Then after Sister Sheer did the Holy Ghost talk, Rose bore her testimony and she talked about when I asked her to follow Jesus Christ and be baptized she felt the spirit so strong.....It was beautiful though. After I asked her about the difference from her baptism last July and today, and she said something like she will never forget the one in July but today it was amazing. She then gave me a hug and said that I will always have a special place in her Y heart. :)

Well the Fiji word this week is Jesus Christ or Jisu Karisito So you say the letter G then Sue (like the name!) then Kree (like a decree) and stow (Like I stowed it away) so G-Sue Kree-stow.

I know that Jesus really is the Christ and he has made it possible for each and everyone of us to become clean and to return to our loving Heavenly Father. I know that Heavenly Father really does care for each and every one of us even when we think we are alone. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true church on the earth no matter what others try to tell me (Sister Soko and I had some pretty hard Bashes this week from people telling us that they have read the Book of Mormon and it is a Lie and that Satan is controlling us.......We just had to try to bear our testimony and laugh about it latter because of how dumb they were). I also know that Joseph Smith through Jesus Christ was able to Restore that same gospel Jesus had on the earth to today. I also know that Joseph translated The Book of Mormon through god and not any other way and that the Book Of Mormon truly is a testament of Jesus. I know that Thomas S. Monson Is the Living Prophet on the Earth and I will stand by what he says!

Love you all and sorry this email was so long:)

Hello Family and friends F!!!!!

So the Fiji word of the week is stars which sounds like color color, but instead of the last 2 letters or you say Oh. so col-oh col-oh!

So Last Tuesday was one of my favorite days this week! We were able to go on exchanges with our STLs Sister Krebs and sister Shear. Well so I got to spend the day in Lacey 3rd and with Sister Krebs it was amazing. I was able to also see Sister Jensen again and she was so excited to be able to see me and gave me a nice big hug that felt so good! So Guess what?!?!?! They had planned for all of us to eat dinner at Rose and David Churmans (they are now married and not living together outside of marriage...) and then after Sister Soko and Sister Shear left, Sister Krebs and I taught Rose about the priesthood power. We first started talking about faith, ( and how we already know what great faith she has) and then repentance and it was nice to have her husband (who is a member) teach her as well A.

Finally we went to Baptism and how important it is and she again brought up how happy she was to be able to get baptized  last July and she showed us the video of it and how it was by immersion. We then had to just rely on the spirit at this point and I asked if she knew why it was so important for Jesus to be baptized by the John the baptized? and Rose asked why and I said because he was the only one that had that Authority from God to Baptize him. Then we talked to her about how she had a priesthood blessing by her now husband..... then she just asked something like "well wouldn't it be bad if I am baptized twice by immersion?) and so her Husband said that it wouldn't be because in order to make it valid we need that proper authority..I... So then I explained to her that Heavenly Father was so proud of you for coming closer to him to the best of her knowledge. Just how When a little child learns there ABCs and as a parent you are so proud. But you wouldn't be so proud when they are 30 and have learned more but are still saying the ABCS. So Rose now that you have learned more about the priesthood and that it is necessary for you to act on it! So with the spirit extremely strong and with tears in my eyes I said "Rose with the Proper Priesthood authority from God, Will you be baptized on Feb 14th?" and before I could even finish She said yes really quick and Brother Churman just was so shocked and over joyed then we all were crying and it was beautiful T.

So we were able to also teach Steven the Resto. on Thursday and we put him on date for the 20th( for baptism) and we might have to push it back because he didn't come to church yesterday because of the dumb super bowl..... Also we couldn't H go knocking our 5 to 7s because of it so as a zone we had a party! We ate and also read the amazing missionary chapter of Alma 26.

Well I love you all and hope everyone is doing Great!!!

Sister Soko and I before we went out knocking
Sister Soko and I at Capital lake on a beautiful day!!!
Sister Soko and I waiting for this "party" last night to begin!

From Tricia:  Anna Pierson - a sister that used to live in Lehi after we moved here - lives with her family in Olympia, WA now.  Sierra and Camille were good friends.  Her husband was also our Bishop.   She was so sweet to take Camille out to lunch on Monday.  Anna wrote: "I had lunch with these lovely young women today. The one on the right is one of Sierra's childhood friends from Utah who is now serving as an LDS missionary in the Olympia area. It was so fun to see her and get reacquainted and to meet her awesome companion. They are both such poised, happy young women. ️"

"She really seems to be happy.  Her companion was singing her praises.  She sounds like the rising star of the mission.  they are both adorable.  Camille shared a message with me about sharing the light of Christ.  She told me to tell you hello, and she loves you.  I gave her several mom hugs for you."

"It was so fun! Hopefully, we'll be able to do it again soon. Camille is an awesome missionary and seems genuinely happy (although she clearly misses you all!) Her companion talked about how strong she is--especially for being so new. We joked together about how the sun in the picture looks like heaven is smiling on us. It is also photo documentation of the rare brilliantly sunny February day in Western Washington. A welcome reprieve from the clouds and rain. They were off to play ultimate frisbee with the zone after lunch. :)"

February 1, 2016

Hello L Everyone!!!!!!! I have felt like it has been a wonderful week to be a Child of God!!!I So we Had a lesson with Jim and with his wife Holly and I thought the lesson went great and we asked them to read in the Book of Mormon and pray for themselves to know if it is true and Holly said That I don't have any reason to not believe that It is true!!! So that was cool to hear but we still want them to get an answer from god I. But it is hard because Jim had cancer and is now on Dialysis for the rest of his life so every other day he is on that so it is hard to schedule an apt. but we are excited G.

Also as a mission each week we get a ponderizing scripture, and this week it is 3 Nephi 18:24 all about the light of Christ. We knocked into a man Saturday night that grew up catholic H and talked to him about the Book of Mormon. He then asked us to repeat what church we belonged to and we told him and he asked us about when and where our church was. So we gave him our card that had our number and address to the church and he asked what time it is at and we said 1. He said that he will be able to come and we said we will remind him in the morning. So we did and he said he will come and then he really came. It was a lot different than what he was used to but he said that he enjoyed it and talked to our ward mission leader the whole time. Our ward mission leader asked him something about coming and he said that it was because of the light in my eyes that drew him to come to sacrament. I have never been told that personally about my eyes except for in story's, and now we are going over to his home Thursday with the ward mission leaders wife!!!! We can't wait!

Fiji word of the week which is Hello. So You pronounce it Like the slang word for money, moola but with a b so boola!

I am so thankful for the light of Christ and for the faith that we need to keep moving forward. I read a talk on faith this week by Russell M. Nelson from a 2014 talk and it really helped me out this week. Thanks for all of the prayers I know that they are helping. I know this is where I'm meant to be even though is a little hard at times. T
 Love Ya!!!!
PS started something new so look for the hidden message!!!
