Hey Everyone I hope you were able to have a great week! Well we had a crazy week but it was amazing to be able to see tender mercy's come from our struggles. On Friday it was awesome because we got to go and serve at the Senior Center. We first went and pretty much made TV dinners by putting food in and then sealing the containers. Then we put silverware in napkins and rolled them up. Then we served food to the people who don't have homes. It felt great! Then we had to go to Tacoma to be able to go to the Dr. for Sister Soko ( whose real last name is Sokoiwasa) but we were stuck in traffic fro about 3 hours and were late. So we left for Tacoma at about 12:30 and didn't get home till 6 it was crazy!!!!! But even though it was a rough emotional day I got letters from my family right when I needed them and I knew that it was no coincidence.

So Sister Soko is follow-up training me and this is her 4th transfer (and this is my 2nd transfer). She is a convert of about 3 years and now she has 3 siblings Including her (out of 9 kids) members and also her parents. So we go OYMing ( which is opening your mouth about the gospel) over by the beautiful Capital Lake/ the docks.

We have 2 new investigates with follow-up apt this week. So Johnny, who is a less actives friend, is one and we talked to him about faith and in his words "the 2nd Bible". He was excited to read more in the Book of Mormon and we will see him Friday. Then we met Jim last night who is Catholic and talked to him about the Book of Mormon. We told him about how it is another Testament of Jesus Christ, and how after Jesus I resurrected he goes to the people in the Americas to teach them and he was really interested! So we will see!!!!!

Lots of Love

A conversation we had through email:  well for the senior Center thing i need to get a food handlers permit so that is what I'm doing now so I can talk for a little bit while I have to listen....

When asked the question if she cooks some fun meals for lunch or breakfast?  I am boring and lazy possibly because I have a time limit of an hour and would rather spend time on other things so I make grilled cheese and oatmeal a lot! but it is good... I love this Hummus from Walmart that is a pine nut one really good and I eat that a lot!  Tonight I'm going to make shepherds pie... I got the ingredients today so I'm excited!!!

Do you go back to your apartment to eat or just grab something while you are out?  Ya sometimes we do both.... actually so far in the Olympia ward I have only had 2 member meals.

Here are two pictures posted on the Wa-Tac blog.

Also my sweet sister, Heather and her family were travelling through to go to Paul's grandma's house and decorated Camille's door that evening.  Camille had an awful day and was very discouraged.  She said, "But when we came home Saturday night after the CRAZY day... We found that we were heart attacked by the Jamisons!!!!! And we were in such awww of Heavenly Fathers timing. And I had been thinking a lot about Patience and Christ Like Love that whole day and guess what the sacrament talks were on the next day... Love and Patience......"

Cara Sabin sent me this picture that was taken with one of Cara's neighbors at BYU-Idaho- she lives in Camille's ward in Olympia.

Hey everyone!!!!! Sorry I am just now emailing Tuesday but yesterday was a holiday so we couldn't email at the library. So it was a great week all in all, but a lot has also changed!

First had a baptism with Chelsea, and it was so neat. She finally moved of her now ex-boyfriends home Friday night and into a member's home temporarily till she can find a place to live that will take her 3 cats and lower rent. She was so happy though and Brother Jensen baptized her which was awesome. So after each investigator enters the water and is baptized, the missionary's tell the restoration. So while Chelsea was getting dressed Sister Baldwin, Krebs, and I gave it and decided to teach the children it. Everyone loved it and it was awesome to hear what the children would say to some of the questions. She was confirmed this last Sunday and she just seemed so happy and she even taught part of the Relief Society Lesson and did great.

Saturday we had our transfer calls and am now in the Olympia 3rd ward with Sister Soko from Fiji. She is awesome and I get to drive in this weird place because she can't which is fine, but there are a lot of scary roads and drvers (well dumb roads). I love you all have a great week

Oh sorry so my new address is
2350 Cain Rd. SE Apt 20
Olympia, WA 98501

Here is a pic with the awesome Lacey Zone. Oh and yesterday we all went to play mini golf together which was fun and an Elder might have fell into the water while he was being dumb trying to grab something in the water. The next thing we knew he was in slow mode hugging this log over the water and then slipping and fell in. It was funny and he was in his church clothes and everything and the Phone was in his pocket...etc

Hey Everyone!!!!!!! So Sister Baldwin might have had kidney stones this week but I kept trying opportunities to go and serve! So we were able to be very bold with our investigator Chelsea and with the help of the Holy Ghost we were able to help her out and tell her that Satan is the one telling you not to move out of your boyfriends home. How like in Ether 12:6 she just needs to trust in Heavenly Father that he has something better for her. She knows its the right thing to do and she has known for a while but she was scared. Yet she has been super faithful in following what heavenly Father wants for her and will move out this week and get baptized this coming Saturday the 16th.

Yesterday I spoke in church on the Nature of the Godhead as well as sister Baldwin (with kidney stones and all). I feel like we both did great and Sister Krebs said we did but I tend to compare my self to others and I felt like Sister Baldwin did a much better job..... Anyways we also sang a song with us sister missionaries and a few other youth, and everyone loved it!!!!! So a nonmember came to church with her fiance who is a member and since our weekly goal as a Mission was 40 church tours for the week we took Rose on a tour. We also invited her and her Fiance Bro. Churman to a baptism that our Zone Leaders had. It was tricky since she was so excited and happy that this was just like her baptism in July... but its not! Because it didn't have the right authority!!!! Well we will talk to her on Wednesday about it.

Okay well I love you all and hope you have a splendid week!!!!

Yay Happy New Year to one and all!!!!!!! So I didn't stay up and play rook or watch fire works or bang on pots or pans mostly because we went to bed at about 11... so it was Utah New Year time or how ever you want to think of it! But We were able to go spend it with sister V. and she really appreciated it because she doesn't really have anyone else besides the ward to call her family close by but I loved it. We were also able to serve Sister Sutherland again mostly by sweeping but she was so thankful for us.

So we went bowling as a zone and I did okay... I think I got like 74 and that was with a few gutters (well a lot) and 1 strike! And before that we also all went to Chipotle which I had never been to but is pretty good, but I miss CafĂ© Rio or even Costa Vida they are really lacking in that aspect! But there are a ton of Vietnamese places and Korean places!

So as a district we made it a goal to get 21 baptismal invites and we really took it in stride and at door steps just asked if they also wanted to get baptized and we got 8. We had one person named Lee very interested. His best friend is Mormon, and he has been to church before. he said it was really long. and he said he is interested in baptism but wants to learn more..... HAHA then we set up an appointment and said a prayer. We ended up holding hands in a circle While Sister Krebs prayed. I asked later why and Sister Krebs said that he was cute so why not.... But he is YSA so we need to turn him over to the sisters over the YSA so that is sad but its Okay.

Okay so we read "Find the Lambs, Feed the Sheep" from the May 1999 ensign and it is super good from Pres. Hinckley. I would say that if you call your self LDS  then it is a must! It would be a good idea for a FHE and then to ask what you learned and what goals you should make to be a better member missionary!

Okay I love you all and hope you have a great year!!!
