Hello everyone!!!!!! Hope you have had a great first week of
June.
Well for me it has been exhausting!!! Lately
and especially yesterday it has been in about the 90s with humidity! Now
I'm not sure if I have really ever talked about how hard a mission is but it is
hard! Everyday we do our 5 to 7s which is when we go out everyday and knock doors
from 5 pm to 7 pm and it is hard because most reject you....but I just
continually remember that they are not rejecting us but the gospel!!!
Well yesterday during 5 to 7s it was super hot and humid and
we were knocking in a more boony area where the houses are spread out far from
each other and the roads/ drive ways are super long. Well Sister Kramer
and I were struggling walking these long roads with our heavy bags on our
shoulders, dying because we were so thirsty, my feet were going to fall
off, I think the heat was getting to me and people were not being super
nice..... but I just kept telling Sister Kramer alright I get it!!! these roads
seem long but Christ did not have it easy! I was sure struggling carrying my
bag but it wasn't easy for Christ to carry his cross... I might be super
thirsty and not able to walk anymore but at least someone didn't give us
vinegar to drink..... but I had two tender mercies too!
1: a cute chicken was following me so I picked her up and
hugged her remembering my cute chickens back home that follow me and just want
to be loved.
2: well at this point I think my eyes were going a little
wacky and I seriously could only think about getting water even if they
slam the door... finally at 6:40 we walked to this house determined to get
water and when this man opened the door he immediately said that he wasn't
interested and started to shut the door, well I didn't care and I saw that he
had a hose attached to his house for water and HaHa I said well then do you
think we could drink water with your hose? and he was like well I could get you
a bottle water. and I said that would be great! so he handed us 2 nice cold
bottles of water and thanked him and we went on our way drinking the whole
bottle before we even got off his lawn and I said a prayer to thank Heavenly Father for that nice man to give us water and to bless him for his service!
Well even though we didn't have a ton of success I
know Heavenly Father knows what I need to become even better and a more
dedicated instrument in his hands... Love you all!
