Heyo!!!!!

Well this has been a great week sadly Jarika and Charlette didn't come to church so we had to move it to November 12th but that's fine.  I know that they will come and Jarica promised so I'm holding her to it!

HAHA so this was really funny and I'm telling this story in honor of my great brother, Tanner, who had a boring week:

So a while ago Sister Codling and I were street contacting and meet Alan... So imagine this hippie with long brown hair walking around with this big olive green back pack. So we got talking to him and he said that he is an atheist and then changed his mind to being agnostic and that there could be a higher power but you can't physically test it like you would testing gravity by dropping a ball. So I had this impression about being able to test happiness and asked him if he thinks we could test happiness and he said that's possible and so I set up this "scientific experiment" with the Book of Mormon. So I said to read the Book of Mormon for 2 weeks and write down your feelings of happiness and what not then not for 2 weeks and still write it down everyday and then reading it for two weeks and then in 6 weeks letting us know how it went! And he was excited to try it and will let us know... Well Saturday We saw him walking down this super busy road and so we were yelling at the top of our lungs ALAN!!!!!! HOWS YOUR BOOK OF MORMON READING GOING???? and he smiled and waved but couldn't hear us and so Sister Codling was making the book sign with her hands jumping up and down and then he smiled and said it was good... so we shall see what happens when this experiment is over.... Well hopefully everyone thought it was as funny as we did.....

Well keep listening to the spirit no matter how late you are or how much in a hurry you are in because the Heavenly Father will help you out!

Well love ya all!

Hey Everyone!!!!!

So things are awesome and it's so amazing how things end up working... Like how we were trying to go visit our investigator Mike but wasn't home and so as we walked back to the car we street contacted Malik and then we had a lesson with him on Thursday. Then when we went his Mom asked who we were through the door and said "the Missionaries" and she said to leave and so we asked if Malik was home and he wasn't so we walked back to the car and I saw a girl walking past us and so I talked to her and I don't even remember what I said exactly but next thing we knew we were walking into her house and were teaching her and her sister who are both in High School and they both had a desire to get baptized and so they will get baptized November 5th and so if one thing after another wouldn't have happened... we wouldn't have found Jarika and Charlette who are so excited and want this more than anything! It is just so cool to see the Lord's Hand working so many Miracles!

Well this week we got a ton of rain and they kept saying on the news that Saturday night it was supposed to be extremely bad with power out and stuff but it was all good! But I hate driving at night while its raining because you still can't see the LINES!!! :)

Well love you all and hope life is treating you all good and keep praying for opportunities to share the restored Gospel with people because when you have the faith it will happen!

Hey Everyone!

So it has been a really awesome week this week. So my new companion is Sister Codling! She is from Ceder Hills Utah and think our homes are about 15 min apart so that's cool... She lives super close to the Mt Timpanogos temple. She went to BYU Hawaii for school for a year before coming out here for her mission. She is really easy to work with and humble which is a nice Christlike Quality to have. Sister Codlings testimony is strong and when she isn't scared to talk she shares it and it means a lot to those we run into.

Lately I've been reading in Helamen and I have more fully started to realize that this was written for our day today. Well So I knew that its a Blueprint of today but its still cool to see the same thing happening today. Like I read in chapter 12 today and it mentioned how the people are quick to follow the devil but slow to remember Christ and so he chastens his people unto remembrance by sending different things like death and famine and hurricanes..... This is today!!!!! Heavenly Father is still trying to stir the people unto remembrance by what sending tornadoes to Utah and hurricanes in Florida...... Christ is coming soon and Heavenly Father still keeps reaching forth his hand to help everyone remember and even I can remember more to be a lot quicker to follow Christ than to easily listen to Satan...... Anyways this is what I've been thinking a lot about! Love you all and hope you have a great week and remember to never be afraid to share what you know to be true to those you come in contact with!!!!

My new address is 3852 S 29th St. Apt B4, Tacoma, WA  98409

Hey everyone!!!!!!

So this is going to be the last Cambodian word of the week and it is nyap sop si sas na which means the missionaries!

So Sister Pen and I are getting doubled out of Mt View and she is going to Lacey 4th and I'm doubling into Chambers Creek with someone who is still in Utah..... so we shall see.  It should be fun and I will be staying in the same zone which will be fun!

I loved General Conference so much and I was amazed at how many talks were about missionary work... I'm not sure if I just noticed because I'm a missionary or what but it was great. I loved the talk from President Nelson on finding Joy in the Gospel everyday and it made me realize how much my life is really filled with joy in some parts and I can definitely do better in other parts! Satan is definitely real and he knows how to get me and I'm imagining it might come out worse this next transfer but as I focus on the Joy the amazing difference it will make!

Love ya all!

Pic 5 all who came and watched General Conference... these are all members and I'm going to miss them so much but what's exciting is that Mon who is Rany's non-member husband came to the Sunday morning session!!!

The following are pictures posted on the mission blog from the Sunday afternoon session.

Below is a response Camille gave to Sister Pollmann in an email when asked if she had any advice to share about service for the Young Woman.

"Well I always thought of service as oh let's mow their lawn or rake leaves or I don't know typical bigger service projects and that's really great and Christ is just so happy when you do those things. But it also has to do with the little unplanned service opportunities you see everyday like at the store when stuff falls out of someones purse and you step out of the way to help. Or doing the dishes when you see that they need to be done, or just doing it because you care for someone and not because you have to be asked.  I feel like I should share this awesome experience I had with you that you could share with the girls if you want. So we only had about 30 more min of the day to do something and I felt like we should go and street contact in the Dollar Tree/Good Will parking lot. Before we went out to talk to them, I prayed that we will find someone that we can help and share the gospel with. We started to walk around (and this was at about 8:30 pm and it was dark) and it was cold so I was wearing my cute navy blue petticoat. We walked up to a couple sitting on the ground next to the Dollar Tree and they weren't asking for anything just homeless so sitting there. We started to talk and ask if they believe in Jesus Christ and they did and I pulled out a Book of Mormon and asked if they have ever read from the Book of Mormon and they said no and the man wasn't interested but the women was and I bore my testimony of its power! Then we said a prayer for them and as I got up I realized that the women was freezing and it was cold. And I heard in my head, "Sister Beck she needs this Jacket more than you do and you have a brown one that looks the same at home so you don't need it"..... So I asked if she was cold and she said she was and so I said well you can have my jacket I hope it fits. So I took it off and gave it to her and she put it on and it fit and she just smiled at me and said thanks. As I walked away I felt really good and knew that that is what Christ would have done and sometimes you don't know what to do but when you are prompted to help just do it and don't question it because you will be the one guilty for not doing so."

On October 2, my mom got this text from Sister George, "Hi there, this is Sister George.  Hope you got that photo Sister Beck emailed it to you.  She is still going to be in our stake, but to Chambers Creek.  We will miss her.  Her companion is going to Lacey, Washington.  I love them dearly.  They did great work here."  She was so sweet.

My mom also got a text from another sister with these 2 pictures and also a video of Rany making spring rolls.
