Hey everyone! well I hope you guys had an amazing Easter!

So Sister Trost has anxiety and lately when she would eat a meal all she wanted to do was throw it up... so on Monday we tried a few techniques to help her feel better and it ended with her on the ground in so much pain so we called our district leader to give her a blessing and she could barely walk without having to sit down so as I was backing the car super fast to take her she threw up and so I asked if she felt better and she didn't.... so the next day she just rested and I tried to keep myself busy. I have been reading Our Search for Happiness by Elder Ballard and I have loved it so much!

Wednesday we did not want to spend another day inside so we were able to get some freedom and had an amazing District meeting! Our District Leader Elder Leber had us think of a few questions that we have had and once we got them we all read Enos together and all of our questions were answered except a few others had so then we read Helaman ch. 5 and then the got their answers. This just really showed us all how the Book of Mormon with the power of the Gift of the Holy Ghost can answer any questions we have!

Easter was great we have been teaching this family from Africa and Rebecca has had all of the lessons twice but her husband was out of the pic till recently when a member encouraged him to come and so Monday (after the blessing) we had a FHE with them and Jacob understood it a lot better than his wife does which was great. But we were sad they didn't come today because they were in Tacoma with some friends from their country. But I thought the Easter program was great and the talks were great as well! In gospel principles it was about Easter and how to not let the fun of Easter get in the way of what it's really about. I also realized that when everyone will be resurrected in the east and its EASTer.... anyways I never recognized the symbolism.

Well I still love the Gospel and and love sharing it with others!!! Love you all as well hope you have a wonderful week.

Pic 6 Sister Trost and I eating lunch with a less active member named Dutch. Who has had a lot of family die from cancer including his wife and now he has Stage 4 cancer and is on hospice care... So he just loves the company and to be able to feel the spirit. He took us to Anthonies which is a nicer sea food place and he got mad at me for getting fish tacos but when they came he thought it looked good!
Pic 7 Sorry it is kinda a bad pic of us but this is Gayle, Me, Sister Trost, and Beth who we have been doing cross stitch with and we went and saw them last night and they are so cute! they gave us each a nice book by Harriet Uchdorf for Easter and they signed it for us.

Hey everyone!!!!!

So on St. Patrick's Day we had Park day which is when we can't use our car so it stays in park! So we had to walk to our knocking spot which isn't that bad and it was a Beautiful day so that was a plus! It took us about an hour and it was great because we got to talk to quite a few people while walking. We saw a man weeding so I went up to him and said " Hi we're the Missionary's and we are sharing an awesome Easter video......." He said okay awkwardly and then he said do you want to help me weed? and we were like ya sure and he was like do you have gloves? and we were like well how about tomorrow?...... As we walked away Sister Trost said that she is pretty sure he is a less active and sure enough he was. When we went back he asked me different questions like can you tell me the BoM in a few min. and I did my best. Then he asked me to explain about the person who cuts off the arms, so I told the story of Ammon, etc. He kept asking questions and he accepted the answers of what I said and kindly said that he is fine that we are helping him but he doesn't want us to come over to see him everyday, but It was an awesome experience showing that even though he is a less active member everyone needs the gospel in their lives.

So my Mom asked to know more about Sister Trost so here we go! She is from North Salt Lake (which is different then Salt Lake City I learned...) but always says she is from Bountiful because it is pretty much right next door. She went to Woods Cross High School, and went to Dixie collage for a year. She is the 2nd oldest out of 5 children so 4 girls and 1 boy. Loves to swim, paint her nails, shop, and catch Jelly fish:) She is just a month older than me which is cool. and ya!

So we have also been serving these older ladies that are sisters from the ward, Beth and Gayle. they love a 1 min walk from us so we tend to stop by and when we see them needing help with like groceries we help them. But last Monday we bought some cross-stitch and embroidery patterns and they are helping us do them and they just light up because they cant do it anymore with there shaking hands but always show us there work from when they could.

So I was reading is Alma 34:28 about how we must continually pray to the Father because it is a commandment (which I really didn't know till my mission). We must also act and serve those around us or else our prayers are done in vain, and we will not be not as blessed as we could be if we just serve everyone we see!

Alma 34:28 And now behold, my beloved brethren, I say unto you, do not suppose that this is all; for after ye have done all these things, if ye turn away the needy, and the naked, and visit not the sick and afflicted, and impart of your substance, if ye have, to those who stand in need—I say unto you, if ye do not any of these things, behold, your prayer is vain, and availeth you nothing, and ye are as hypocrites who do deny the faith.

Love ya all!

Hello Everyone!!!

So I'm pretty sure I told you last time that we had Crystal on date??? HAHA well so her now ex-boyfriend who is a recent convert I think was encouraging it. So when we went over there to teach the plan of salvation and since she didn't go to church we were going to have to change the date.... Then she was cute and said something like Ya I was doing it for the wrong reasons and that she was doing it to strengthen her relationship... haha so we asked if she wants to still learn the lessons and she said she does but she is not on date for baptism at the moment, Oh well its okay it might just take a while and I believe she can get there.

So in sacrament meeting yesterday a high council person came and spoke and he was hilarious but we were not sure if he meant to be... so he talked about mean kids in the school he works at does something called roasting to kids... then he talked about how Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were literally roasted so we were like Hashtag #Roasted. He also was like some people are addicted to drinking or whatever else and then he said that he is addicted to reading the Book of Mormon and we also thought that was funny so Sister Trost and I said Hashtag #addictedtotheBookofMormon.

Sister Trost and I were going to teach the creation in Gospel Principles but we didn't. But I learned so much that I didn't even realize about it... Like Just like cookies you need instructions and ingredients, same with the creation Heavenly Father told Jesus and Michael how to create it and they used the resources like other planets to build the world.... They couldn't just wave there hands and poof an Earth! same with cookies you cant just Poof them either you need ingredients... Also that everything on earth was created in heaven, in spirit, before they could have bodies on earth and I realized that for humans but this goes for everything like animals and etc.

Well I hope everyone is doing great and know that I love you all!

March 7, 2016

Hey well this has been an awesome week! I love working with my new companion Sister Trost.  We are already like best friends - its So awesome.

So Sister Trost and I are now know as Silver Jellys! We went down to the docks while it was pouring and caught some and held them in our hands and they really do just feel like a blob of jello on our hands. So cool! And A we also went to this really yummy Ice-cream place called Grandpas and "grandpa" (the owner) is the Olympia Stake Patriarch. He is so sweet and what was awesome is that he gave us a referral so we just knew there was a reason we were craving ice-cream!!!

A few weeks ago we got a referral from some elders in a different zone who is the girlfriend of someone they were teaching. So Sister Soko and I tried to see her but she wasn't home and things kept V coming up to not go back.... So Sister Trost and I went to visit her with an awesome member Sister Zobell, and we gave her a Book of Mormon and told her a little about it and set up another appointment. Then Saturday we came back and taught her the I restoration and put her on date for baptism on March 19th and invited her to church but then with work she wasn't able to come O :( but we are going to be teaching her the Plan of Salvation tonight, oh and her name is Crystal.

Well I love you all have a great R week!
