Hey well I hope everyone was able to have an P amazing
conference weekend!
So It was great I was able to have two conferences this week
one Zone conference (which is 4 zones) Wednesday and then General
Conference!!!!! So at Zone Conf. it was great to be trained by our mission
pres, our assistants to the president and zone leaders. I loved the training
from the APs on the 1st and 2nd great commandments. How if we truly love God
like we say that we do then we need to also show him by waking up at 6:30 when
we should or anything else we have been asked to be doing to do it and to do it
so we don't have any regrets E. Then along the lines of the 2nd to love thy
neighbor as thyself to be willing to go out of your comfort zones and talk to
everyone, etc.
Then for General Conference some of my favorite talks were
Elder Holland, Elder Bednar, Elder Hales, and Elder Duncan. Also I loved Elder
Johnson's talk about his Daughter Alisa Linton.... It was awesome to hear him
talk about her and especially since she has also helped my life from
babysitting her cat to children, to sharing my first year of girls camp with
her, to her sons being best friends to my brothers..R.... also I've been
thinking of resurrection a lot and my sister Johanna being on the other side
helping me out..... one of my questions for conference was how do I know or
recognize that Johanna is with me? And honestly this wasn't really answered in
conference but I guess more so in Zone Conference. Sister Krebs will be going
home in about a week and a half so she bore her final testimony to us and she
was talking about how when they went to the temple to take Rose to do baptisms
for the dead.F Okay well back story, Sister Krebs Grandpa passed away about 9
months ago on her mission and talked about how hard it was for her and how she
had to rely on Christ. Well so she said that while she was watching Rose, she
just knew her Grandpa was there with her in such a sacred place! While Sister
Krebs was telling this I was just so touched because at first Rose in the
temple ( and I cant wait till I can go and see her and Dave get sealed) and
then with her Grandpa and me just knowing that Johanna was right there with me!
I was a crying mess and couldn't look at Sister Krebs E anymore but I just knew
and it was super powerful. So at conference I wanted to learn more about it and
Elder Johnson's really hit home in so many ways! I loved what he said that
"the resurrection is source of great hope" and it truly is C!!!
I have also been reading in Alma 40 which happens to be all
about the Resurrection! and I loved vs. 12 which is "And then shall it
come to pass, that the spirits of those who are righteous are received into a
state of happiness, which is called paradise, a state of rest, a
state of peace, where they shall rest from all their troubles and from all
care, and sorrow." so I might not know everything but I know
everything is fine and T filled with Joy!!!!!
