Camille Birthday - 7/13/16

My mom compiled these letters from the people I send out my weekly email to for my birthday.

Happy 4th of July! I thought that was funny that Sister Kramer got asked to go to Mexico that must have been so weird. But weirder if it happened to you. One of the things that i miss about you is your voice it always fills the home. I also love the way that you were a big example to us by working hard at McDonald's that is probably a job that most people hate, but i loved the stories of people that called to thank you for the smile that you had on and the loving attitude. I want people to think of me in that same way. Now you are setting a higher example by serving a mission I just love how you are always such an amazing example even when you are hundreds of miles away. The people in Tacoma are really lucky to have you. Mom has showed me lots of letters of people like Sister Cox that wrote you a letter that they sent to mom. That is want I would love to have happen to me when I go on my mission.  Thank you for being such a good example. I know that you will be blessed and already have been blessed for the amazing example that you have shown in Tacoma. Like I said before, the people in Tacoma, Washington are so lucky to have such a good example. Love you TONS!!!! ~Carter

We all love Camille! Of course, before her mission we loved the enthusiasm she brought to the family. She is helpful, sweet, talented, fun to talk to, and has a love for children. Since her mission, we have been impressed with her beautiful attitude. Missions are not easy, but she is handling each situation with joy and faith! We love you, we miss you, and we're grateful for the example you set for our children!   Love, Uncle Michael, Aunt Genevieve, Timothy, Britta, Spencer, Peter

Clara loves you because every time we would go to your house, you would always say hi to Clara and were really nice to her.  I loved watching you grow into a beautiful young woman.  When I first met you, you were 9 years old.  You seemed so grown up then, but as each year passed, I loved watching the choices you made.  I loved getting to talk to you about your college experiences and getting to visit with you each time you came home.  I also love reading all your emails each week.  My favorite parts are the pictures you send.  You have been an inspiration to Clara as she sees you on your mission and she looks up to you more than you know.  Thanks for being a good example to all those around you. ~Aunt Sarah

Sister Beck! Man times fly! It still feels like we just entered the MTC yesterday!  From the first time I met you I could feel the spirit radiate off of you and I knew that you were going to be a great example and light to others out here in the WA-TAC :)  It was so fun to be in the same zone as you even it was for just a transfer! :) I hope we get to serve around each other again! or better yet... as companions! haha! :) anyway.. Happy Birthday! I hope you have a great day full of awesome surprises! and you should definitely use your birthday as a door approach too! :) haha! love you!  ~Sister Kira Cox

Sister Beck!  I love you Sister Beck!! I am sooo happy we were able to meet each other in the MTC and be companions! You are sooo wonderful.  So sweet, down to earth, talented- oh let me dwell on that for a second~ I wish your voice was a music box I could listen to:), beautiful, smart, and your testimony and example to me is so uplifting.  Thank you soo much for all that you have done for me.  I am so grateful for you in my life.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY DEAR FRIEND!!!! I LOVE YOU!!!:):):) ~Sister Bolos

Camille! I am so proud of you for being on the mission! This is the hardest time of your life but also the most rewarding. I love you a ton! You are changing lives whether you realize it or not. Continue serving the Lord with all of your heart, might, mind, and strength. Lots of love on this special birthday! Here are some of my favorite scriptures to help get me through the hard times: D&C 121:7-8 and D&C 122:7-8; Isaiah 41:10,13; and D&C 136:31         ~Bekah (Sister Jamison)

Happy Birthday Camille!  Always enjoy talking to you knowing it would be a positive and uplifting conversation.  You are a daughter of God and he loves you and knows you.  What a blessing you are to the people in the Tacoma Washington mission.  Sure enjoy reading your updates.  Keep up the good work.  ~Scott and Heather Chapple

Happy Birthday, Sister Camille Beck, We have always enjoyed seeing you - Camille at the McCleve Reunions and seeing you take part in the talent shows.  You are so talented and not afraid to be in front of people.  We would have loved to have seen her perform in the plays throughout the years.  We appreciate the way you are always so friendly with a great big smile.  We are sure that you have been such a big help to your mother throughout the years with all of your brothers.  Your family seems to be so close knit and does lots of fun activities together.  Of course with Byron and Tricia as your parents, you would have to be great!  We were so impressed when we have stayed in your home at your family history wall and other teaching areas with your family.  We always felt so welcome and comfortable with you and your family.   We have enjoyed reading your missionary updates.  They are always so cheerful and informative and full of the Spirit.  Love the pictures that you attach too.  Best of luck on the rest of your mission.  Here are a few quotes that we like from Pres. Packer.
"Your secret yearnings and tearful pleadings will touch the heart of both the Father and the Son."  -President Boyd K. Packer, "The Witness"
"Our lives are made up of thousands of everyday choices. Over the years these little choices will be bundled together and show clearly what we value."  ~Pres. Boyd K. Packer, "The Choice"
"Learn to pray. Pray often. Pray in your mind, in your heart. Pray on your knees. Prayer is your personal key to heaven." -President Boyd K. Packer, "Prayer and Promptings"
Love to you,  Uncle Jim & Aunt Kathie

Dear Camille,  Happy, happy birthday!  You are such an amazing young woman and missionary!  Thank you for setting such an amazing example to me and my family!  My girls love looking at the pictures you send out!  Wishing you a wonderfully, splendid birthday!  Sincerely,  Leah Powell

Grandma Beck loves how you:
  • are so eager to give of yourself. When you noticed that Britta was really liking the flowers at one of our Beck Reunions, you made her a flower halo for her head--and she instantly felt endeared to you and felt like a queen. You see a need and fill that need by holding a baby or fussy toddler, or make balloon flowers/animals for the little ones. You've made me jewelry and helped me fix a few things often times when time was tight so it was a sacrifice for you.
  • are so willing to share your gift of singing and playing the guitar, or piano. Many people have talents, but they are afraid to share them with others. Not you! I always felt like I could ask you to sing for us when we went to your home. I loved how you learned a song to sing when you and your family came out to see us in Georgia. Wow! Were all the families impressed with your voice! When you were young you had learned the song, "When I Am Baptized" and you sang it so sweet that I felt the spirit especially when you sang the chorus, "I want my life to be as clean as earth right after rain. I want to be the best I can and live with God again." Every time I hear that song I think of you. I think that's why you have been given so many gifts/talents is because the Lord knows you will share them with others.
are a family gal! You love getting together with family. You also want to know what's happening in each person's life and want to help out when someone needs help.
  • You love children and were so willing to watch the little ones of your cousins when the adults went out to eat. Not many teenagers have that quality!
  • know how to cook! Man! Do you ever! When I watched you children when your parents went on a trip, I loved how you fixed all the meals while they were gone. Usually the Grandma has to do the cooking, but not when you're around!
  • can do hard things! It's hard leaving all the security you feel at home and leaving home to go to college or to serve a mission. Some can't do it--but you did--and even though you have tough days and challenges, you just dig deeper and keep on going. Keep it up!
  • aren't afraid out on the stage. You're amazing! I could never have done that. You inspire me to "Just do it!"
  • are our oldest granddaughter. You are good example to all of our other grandchildren! We are so pleased that you are having the privilege of serving a mission in the Washington Tacoma Mission. You are being blessed a lot right now and will be throughout your life just from your serving this mission. You can also see the blessings your family is receiving from all the hard work you are doing right now.
I love you tons, Sister Beck, (Camille) and pray for you daily. I'm so delighted that you are in our family!  Hope this birthday is one of your happiest birthdays EVER!   Love Grandma

Dear Sister Beck,  I can tell you are doing a marvelous work from the weekly emails you send.  You are obedient, a hard worker and love the Lord, which is a recipe for success.  Dave and I visited San Francisco in April.  We attend church where it was fast and testimony meeting and a man from Tacoma shared his testimony about the full-time missionaries serving in his area.  He told the congregation about their faithful examples and their diligence.  He talked of the love the missionaries have for the members and nonmembers in their area and how this translates into some great opportunities.  He completely trusts the missionaries and would never be hesitant to invite somebody to meet with the missionaries because of how awesome they are.  He especially spoke of his admiration for the great sister missionaries serving in his area and how blessed they were to have sisters because although elders are great, it's just hard to top the sister missionaries.  He had worked with them multiple times and his testimony grows each time he is involved in the missionary work in his area.  All through the testimony I was thinking of you and wondering if you were one of those sister missionaries he had worked with!  I know anyone who has the opportunity to get to know you and be taught by you or is able to partake of your talents, is truly blessed!  Wishing you a happy happy birthday and sending all my love and prayers your way!  XOXO ~Becki Wilcox

My Thoughts on Camille from Grandpa Beck:
Her great love of the Temple and how important that is in her life.
Her Musical talents and a willingness to share them with others.
Her great testimony and how she uses it with her personality to bless the lives of others.
Her smile and bubbly personality which serve her well in all that she does.
Her great work ethic which serves her well on her mission.
Her love for the Savior and her family.
Her willingness to always pick our raspberries whenever you came up.  Now we don’t have anybody doing it.
She always wants to "go and do".

Camille, You are just a little ray of sunshine! I always look back on our MDT memories with fondness and smile because of the energy that you brought every day. Thank you for always being such an outstanding example for everyone you come in contact with and for extending a hand to help anyone you can. You're amazing and I'm so glad I got to know you! I hope you have a wonderful mission birthday and that you always remember how much you are loved! ~MaKaela Eggett  P.S. Kira and Brynlee also send their love and happy birthday wishes. They miss you!

Sister Beck - hope you have a wonderful birthday.you have been a bright light in my life and I wish you nothing but happiness. ~ Rose Forbes

Camille is always so positive and brings joy to everyone around. Whether it's her positive attitude or her singing ~Uncle Jeremy

Happiest Birthday to you Camille! It's been so awesome to read your emails and hear of your success on your mission! You are providing a great example to your brothers as well as other young women in the ward! I hope you continue to do well and find lots of joy and fun as you serve! Thinking of you and hope all the best for you!  Love, Lindsay Ercanbrack

I can’t believe that my daughter is turning 20 years old – wow!  I am so proud of you and the progress that you have made thus far in life.  You have always been a good example to me and have encouraged me to be a better Dad.  Thank you!  I hope you have a great day, and by great day I mean I hope you find some great people to teach on your birthday.  You are where you are supposed to be at this time in your life.  My Birthday was a hard day for me on my mission because I opened my gifts by myself while my companion was showering, for some reason it felt lonely.  Know that we are all thinking of you on this day and that you have many people that love you.  Love, Dad

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I really love getting and reading your letters every week and looking at the pics you send.  I'm so grateful that you have set an amazing example for all of us boys and even though it's hard out there, we should trust in the lord and go on a mission. I hope you are doing fine out there and know that we are praying for you.   ~Tanner

Happy birthday Camille!!! I hope you have a great birthday today I always look up to you and continue to do so since you have been on your mission. The past couple of weeks I have just been working at Trafalga and since I'm only 15 right now I can only do 2 things which is laser tag desk and redemption but it's still fun when I turn 16 then I can do everything else.    Love Johnathan

Camille,  Happy Birthday!!  You are an amazing person.  I love reading your emails and feeling your love and excitement for the gospel.  I hope you can feel our love and support back in good ole Lehi:)  You are doing wonderful things.  I hope you are loving your time serving as a missionary.
Funny side note.  Kate turned 12 one week ago and is currently attending her first girls camp.  I went to camp to help out today.  We went to the Provo river and floated down in tubes.  It was nuts/fun/cold/crazy:)  Do you remember our crazy trip down that river?  Good times.  Although this birthday is different from others ones, I hope you have a great day celebrating!  Keep up the good work and we will keep praying for you.  With love,  Kallee Pollmann and Family

Sweet, Sweet, Beautiful Camille! Happy Birthday! I love you SO much! I absolutely love reading your letters every Monday! You are always SO positive and upbeat even when I’m sure there are hard moments. After reading one of your letters in particular, and looking at your pictures, you inspired me to create something on one of our walls at home to help inspire and encourage the children in our home and others to serve missions. Thank you! I love that you share who you are working with and the successes and challenges as they progress. I have no doubt that you are making a difference wherever you are while serving in the Washington Tacoma Mission. Keep up the great work and know that you are LOVED and APPRECIATED by all!  Love,  Aunt Melissa

I look forward to your letters every week. I love your attitude toward everything you come across. I used one of your letters for one of my talks about how we can't complain about hard things because the Savior went through worse things. Thanks for your letters and for being a great example.  ~Uncle Eric

Dear Sweet Camille – Happy Birthday!  I sure love you and feel so very fortunate to have you as my daughter.  What an amazing example you are to me, your dad and brothers.  You might never know the true impact you have had on all of us, but what a great example you truly have been.  I love reading your letters each week and your positive attitude is shining through.  You won’t let things stop you and keep smiling no matter what is going on.  You have a way with people and have this concern and care for them.  They can see that and open up to you because of this.  You also have many things that could hold you down, but you don’t let them get in your way.  You also have such a strong testimony of our Savior.  I love you dearly and am so grateful that you are able to serve a mission at this time in your life.  Stay strong and you will go far my dear daughter!!! Loves - Mom

My mom also got this letter a little later from a sister I was with in the MTC.

Dear Tricia,  We are sorry to have been unavailable to do this, but we don't want to delete your email without letting you know what a darling daughter you have!  We are part of Sister Beck's MTC branch presidency and grew to love her so much.  She was so focused and we loved her radiant smile that spread sunshine about the room.  We could definitely tell your daughter was prepared and ready to go forth to serve her Heavenly Father.  Thank you for sharing her with us, with other missionaries, and with the many whose lives are being touched for good by Sister Beck!  As always,  Brother and Sister Kramer
