Hey Everyone!!!!!
Sorry my mom is sending this email because Google is doing
weird things.....
Okay well so the Cambodian word or the week is Oo kun which
means Thank you. you pronounce it as A coon like Raccoon but A coon (and don't
say the letter A but the other way if that makes sense)
Alright so I love going to lessons and Cambodians homes
because even though I don't really know what they are saying... they are the
nicest people ever! We are teaching this Girl named Chaing and she
has the cutest little 10 month old son named Peter and her husband... well I
don't remember his name but we found out he joined the church in UT and worked
doing landscape on Temple Square and is now less active. Well Chaing is so cute
and loves us coming into her home and sharing the message. we went
over to there home to have a lesson and they were going to the beach and so we
went with them to be able to teach them still and they loved us coming and
loved taking pictures with us. At the end Chaing was so into the
lesson and she kept getting mad at all of the other Cambodians trying to talk
because she loved it so much and then she prayed and I assume she did a great
job... I felt the spirit but it was in Cambodian and I haven't really picked up
on the Gift of Tongues... :)
Oh also so Sophan's daughter was turning 1 and so they had
this big party with all of this food including a whole pig that I got a picture
with that made me think of the Brian Regan Quote "Bring me the Head of a
pig, and a goblet of something fine and refreshing..." HAHA Also they
had this big pot of curry and Sister Pen told me to eat some because its good
and so I got some rice noodles and just but the curry juice in and then Sister
Pen told me to put some potatoes in it and so I was going to but Sophan said
here let me help you..... and so he put some potatoes into my bowl.... well it
was pretty good I guess till I realized that I had more than just the juice and
potatoes in my bowl when I saw this Chicken foot in in my food..... I lost my
appetite after that..... oh also I have tried Blood Pork where it is blood in
like this jellowy meat form and it was pretty good but hard trying to think I
was eating blood...
Well I love you all and I hope you continue to share your
testimony with those around you!
Love Sister Beck
