Hey Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!
So this was a really great week! We went to the Portland
Temple Friday and took our recent convert to do baptisms and she loved it! (We
would have gone to the Seattle but our Ward mission leader prefers to go to
Portland because of the traffic it is usually quicker...) It was also a very
nice day to go to Portland with this beautiful whether we have been getting! It
has been super nice with tracking and talking to people!
So Saturday we were knocking on doors and we knock on this
one door and they had shoes on the porch and then they answered and Sister
Tueller was doing her sh-peal and I thought the person was Cambodian and so got
excited. So when she didn't speak English I asked if she was Cambodian and she
said she was, so I tried my best to say what I knew but being super excited I
forgot how to speak what 3 words I know and so decided to call Sister Pen to
talk to her and so I did. Then when we asked Sister Pen what she said, she said
that she is really interested and wants to come to church then we hung up...
Well also Sister Pen told her to grab a bill and give it to me so we knew the
address. Then we awkwardly walked away because I forgot how to say bye. Then as
I was texting Sister Pen the address I remembered that there is a member who
served in Texas Cambodian speaking like 20 years ago. So we called him up and
he was willing to help us get her to church and teach her but wouldn't be able
to translate... So we go back have him talk to her... and he thinks he
understands but it's hard to remember what to say and to talk so then we called
Sister Pen back again and she told her a white man will come and get her to
come to church and if she would be fine if he doesn't really translate and she
was fine. So we told Brother Burbidge that and so picked her up for church and
she liked it... I think.... only stayed the first hour but we are hopefully
going to work out a skype thing to teach her because it is too far to drive out
her to teach her from Tacoma.
Also had a fun day today at the Beach at Westport! It was
great weather and a less active was so nice to drive us!

that I know Jesus Christ is my Savior and he loves us all so much. So thankful
for him and what he did for us!
